Who We Are

CIS Set out in 1997 to provide low cost food to America’s Feeding Programs, Value Priced/Price Impact/Surplus Stores and Mom & Pop Grocery Stores– today we are one of the country’s Largest Niche Discount Grocery Wholesalers.

CIS has a large warehouse in an outer ring suburb of Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota where we store most of our dry goods and office our sales staff. CIS delivers to all 48 states, Mexico, Canada, & the Philippines. We source goods from several different channels on several different continents. These items include low cost imports, closeouts, and low cost continuity lines. Our goals is to supply high volume groceries and HBC items at the lowest cost in the USA with the best service possible. Closeout Discount groceries are extremely popular with our clientele. We supply over 1700 different accounts and source goods from over 600 companies. Several of the companies we buy from are in the top 50 in the grocery industry.

CIS carries a large variety of items in both the Frozen and Dry Grocery area for our discount format stores and food banks.

Our goal is to always end up in a Win/Win situation on every deal we do. We take every phone call and always try to give a quick response. We buy to own and warehouse the goods– which differentiates us from 98% of our competitors. We adhere to all restrictions and run SAP SOFTWARE which allows us to track every case on every sale from the moment it leaves our warehouse. We are extremely effective at burying “sensitive” name brands and private labels due to our extremely large NON-RETAIL customer base.
